Snipping tool vs snagit

Moreoever, if I can use Snagit to record something that otherwise would have required a meeting, I can save my company a ton of money. Saving $50 by not buying Snagit, only so you can waste 4 hours a year (or more) of your time using free, but insufficient, tools, seems like a short-sided trade off. Its free, but walking 60 miles a day would be ridiculous.

So, if Snipping tool is wasting even 1 minute of my time a day (over what it would take to do the same in Snagit), then the snipping tool is costing the company approximately $200. They *could* do it using snipping tool and Paint, but it took way too many tries and wasted time.įWIW, if someone makes $60k a year, that means that the company is paying $1 per minute of your time (when you include in all the benefits, insurance, etc). They spoke about the difficulties they had making a screenshot that was good enough to go into their documents or presentations.

I've spoken with a couple dozen Snagit customers this week that had previously used the snipping tool.
